Before and after photos are useful, but they should be judged properly. Do not only look at whether the hair looks thicker. Look at hairline design, density, direction, donor management, natural blending, crown coverage, beard shape, eyebrow angle and the time point after surgery.
Timelines vary between patients. Transplanted hairs commonly shed in the first few weeks, early growth may begin around month three to four, and fuller development is usually assessed over the following months. Read the full hair transplant growth timeline and hair transplant shedding guide.
Hairline results should be judged on natural shape, soft front-edge design, temple balance and whether the result suits the patient’s face. A good hairline should not look too low, too straight or too dense.

Female hairline restoration needs careful diagnosis and design. The aim is usually a softer, more balanced hairline while protecting donor hair and avoiding an artificial shape.
Shows visible change in the frontal hairline while keeping a natural overall shape.
Useful example for patients considering hairline lowering or frontal shape refinement.
Women should be assessed carefully before surgery, because not all female hair loss patterns are suitable for transplant surgery.
Afro-textured hair restoration needs careful curl-pattern planning, donor assessment and natural hairline design. The goal is coverage that works with the patient’s natural hair texture.

Useful for judging blend, density and hair texture in Afro hair restoration.
Beard transplant results should be judged on natural direction, cheek-line design, jawline balance and whether the density looks believable. A beard should not look drawn on.
